Introduction:
I guess I'm somewhat of a wayward kid. I can only describe myself as one of those rare people with integrity, who aren't afraid to show it. I know that makes me not everyone's cup of tea. I say what I mean and I do what I say, so I tend to become disenchanted with the predictable/socialized inauthenticity that's so constitutional to others. It often feels like I live in a society that doesn't share my values, so I've chosen to stay isolated on many occasions. I have a hard time connecting with others, and it used to be that fictional characters were my only friends because I didn't mind living vicariously through stories and fairytales. But I also know (hope?) that there are real and beautiful people out there for me to find — living, dreaming, struggling, and searching for some of the same things I am. I'd lke to get to know their hearts, share in their passions, and learn the idiosyncrasies that make them unique. Though life has taught me to do my best with my meager gifts and expectations, I know that good things take time and spectacular things take effort. I'm willing to commit my time to the kind of friendship where we explore every subject (no matter how asinine or complex) and remain endlessly invested in each other's lives. I would appreciate corresponding with articulate, good- hearted, and genuine people, who are driven by an insatiable curiosity to learn and to find meaning in an inherently meaningless world; those who always strive to become better, but who are invariably grappling with their path in life.
