Introduction:
you can call me mavis! i am a high school student, and i am graduating in just a couple of months. i'm here because, since i discovered the internet, i have always had this honestly annoying and insatiable urge to meet people i would not otherwise be able to. i am constantly in search of interesting conversations and interesting people. call it a product of having a generally cloistered childhood, call it boredom, call it whatever you want. i am ultimately interested in truly good, or interesting, conversation. i enjoy being curious about other people. i get along well with anyone literate or with some talent for self-expression or introspection. and i like odd people! really, i just enjoy writing to others who are good at writing back. lengthy and genuine introductions catch my eye. i mostly converse with those older than me, but who, of course, use their responsible adult discretion when conversing with someone of my age. completely uninterested in anyone with lax moral standards/character (in other words, do not email me with ulterior motives). i'm very appreciative of people who have a genuine interest in literature sending me pieces of poetry, writing, essays, etc, but don't make that your thing if it isn't. if the all-lowercase here bothers you, you might be pleased to know i typically type properly over email. please email me with a lot about yourself if you're interested in a chat; at the end of the day, i'm here to get to know new people.
